Nuhu Ribadu, ACN Presidential Candidate
Contrary to rumour making the rounds that he has stepped down from the presidential race, Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN) presidential candidate, Mallam Nuhu Ribadu, has said that he is still much in the race.
The Ribadu Adeola Campaign Organisation, in a statement Thursday, said it has recieved calls and queries from the media, friends, associates and teeming party supporters, seeking clarifications on a peddled rumour that Ribadu had stepped down from the presidential race in the April elections.
According to Ribadu, "this is absolute falsehood and a propagandist campaign from our detractors and political foes afraid of the monumental rise in political stature and profile of our principal and the visible gains to our support base, from our campaign activities across the nation, since our flag off.”
He said he and his running mate, Fola Adeola, remain the most generally acceptable presidential ticket that represents the general interest of the masses.
Ribadu noted that their joint ticket has proven that they have the will to make positive things happen and create the change Nigerians currently desire.
The ACN presidential candidate said the party is most representative of the best interest of an overwhelming majority of Nigerians, as well as the nation's champion of real and meaningful change
Ribadu pointed out succintly that he has not stepped down and has never considered nor is he considering stepping down from the Presidential race.
He said his party is much committed to its resolve at emancipating Nigerians from the strangle hold of bad government of the opposition party, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), via our nine policy objectives of health, education, Niger Delta, infrastructure, power, job creation and industrialisation, corruption, government spending and security.
